Summary: [exec] with environment variables
Initial Comment:
[exec] menu items of the following form appear to have stopped working:
[exec] (foo) { FOO_OPTION=bar foo }
These have stopped working with the upgrade to 0.65 from 0.62x.

from the 0.65.0 ChangeLog:
- changed the command execution code (used to handle rootCommands and executable menu
items) to be more robust... compound commands should now work
