Using BlackBox (ver.0.65.0-fr2) on fully updated Red Hat Linux,ver.8.0 (Psyche). I have converted - just yesterday - from KDE/GNOME and all I can say is that I am very happy I decided to (no more having my precious system resources getting 'prisoners' of Red Hat's eye candy...).

I recently installed 'bbconf', ver.1.8 (I tried to install ver.1.10 at first, however, it is dependent on qt-mt,ver.3.1, which means that I either have to upgrade to RH,ver.9.0 - don't want to at this time - or dangerously mess with dependencies in RH8).

The problem that I have is that, when 'bbconf' starts, it displays - in several font fields of the Style Editor: menu frames & titles, toolbar & clock, window labels - some font name, that does not seem to exist in my system ("LucidaSans") and, then, no matter what font I choose to use, it only displays something that seems to be very close to the "misc-fixed" font.

Why does this happen? I suspect that it is because I use a somewhat older version of 'bbconf', but, then, how can I use the latest version (1.10) in my RH8 system?

TIA,
