you're correct. it's a fork bomb. a good measure of how well-setup a
system is. =:) FreeBSD's /etc/limits.conf (iirc) stops that fork-bomb
like a charm. Linux has the same idea too.
Oh--and it's not mine. I ran it from Michael Zalewski's sig and after
figuring out what it was, realized how beautiful it was and stuck it in
mine. =:)
