This has been reported a lot. And I have had this problem several times too. It also exists in other locales if you make it skip some. I wonder if the makefile coule define the LC_ALL to the local it is trying to do before each gencat command? I think the problem is that some gencat tools work with it and some don't .. Jeremy C.
