Hi,

OK, I did the jump into cvs version...

First impress after a few changes in my style sheet : still fast and great look
Second impress : argh I lost the mousewheel patch for quick shading windows or
changing workspace... That's how i realized the true meaning of 'being addicted'
:) Later I hope... (since i'm not good at coding) or maybe with bbstroke ???

Here are a few questions or comments from a basic user (I've no idea of how
complex it could be to achieve these).

Concerning the style :
1 - I can't play with menu bullets anymore : only triangle are displayed
(already mentionned iirc)
2 - I'd really appreciate a way to adjust separation bar settings (color,
thickness)
3 - it seems there is a small bug with the menu border : when width is set to 0,
i still notice on top and left of the menus a 1 pixel line

Concerning XMMS (sorry to bother again with this piece !!!) :
4 - I can shade it well (so it's different from the bug i read) but the only way
i can move it is with Alt + left mouse button
5 - when i ask for the workspaces list and theirs apps, I noticed that the main
XMMS windows (the player) was 'Untitled', but the width of the app list has the
correct size, the one from 'XMMS - 1.songname - artist'... After focusing once
the XMMS player, no pb, everything is and remains ok on the app list, i got the
full title

Concerning windows behaviour (yes, what bb is intended for) :
6 - when sending a window to another workspace, it keeps its own position...
it's a bit "dangerous" since you can "lost" (no more seeing) a smaller window
around the same position on the target workspace ! My experience was with
terminals of the same size and position.
Can smthg be done ? Like if the sent window is going to completely overlay
another one, change the position of the sent window as if it was a new window on
the target workspace ?
7 - when i launch a mozilla app (firebird or firefox), the new window has the
same size that the last i closed (that's nice) but its position is always
reinitialisated (that's bad), without even taking care of the toolbar (that's
worse) ! I know mozilla is a bit special, do you know a workaround to make it
keep its last position ?

Concerning blackbox in itself (actually, a question that remains)
8 - when i switch from virtual console to X, the toolbar looks odd for about one
second and then seems to redraw itself... I don't remember that with the 0.65
version

I can (and will) of course submit bugs for these (mainly 1, 3, 8), but i'd like
your opinion first, to avoid useless reports : which are actually bugs, and may
I group some of them ?

Regards,
GeO

P.S. I didn't installed bb (i run it from my home tmp directory where i ran
'make'), so i noticed i couldn't compile bbkeys cvs :(
first configure complains about libbt, i export PKG_CONFIG_PATH as suggested,
configure ran nice, but make fails :

extract from ./configure output :
---------------------------
checking for libbt... yes
checking LIBBT_CFLAGS... -I/usr/local/include/bt
checking LIBBT_LIBS... -L/usr/local/lib -lbt

isn't it strange, since the libbt path i indicated in the PKG_CONFIG_PATH is
~/tmp/cvs/blackbox/lib ?

end of make output :
--------------------
make[2]: *** [KeyClient.o] Erreur 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/geo/tmp/cvs/bbkeys/src'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Erreur 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/geo/tmp/cvs/bbkeys'
make: *** [all] Erreur 2

well, a huge mess with KeyClient.cpp :(
