This happens with the blackbox package that's part of Mdk9.2 pretty
consistently for me. Whenever I sudo poweroff, next time I login I find a
core dump

where
#0  0x4007e08f in XrmQPutStringResource () from /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6
#1  0x4007f1cb in XrmGetFileDatabase () from /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6
#2  0x0808e513 in std::string& std::string::_M_replace_safe<char
const*>(__gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<char*, std::string>,
__gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<char*, std::string>, char const*, char const*) ()
(gdb)

looks like a munged stack... I don't know if this is due to any changes that
mdk made when packaging it up for the distro, _so far_ I'm not managed to
replicate this with cvs

I'm running gdm and I don't get this when I just logout, so its a bit
difficult to debug (unless there are ways of doing this I don't know about)
