Actually, serif fonts are generally regarded as easier to read only on
paper, not on monitors.  The user interface guidelines I've come across
recommend using sans-serif. The guideline I'm refering to was a video by
Tandy Trowers, who used to work at the user interface department for
Microsoft.  The tiny serif edges don't do much on monitors, which have a
relatively low resolution.

But if it's all in one place it's too much noise. It will look both ugly
and not serve any real use. Like reading a whole document that is
underlined. But up to you.
