We may need to eventually.  The iconv thing is a bit fuzzy, since iconv 
is part of the POSIX standard under the XSI (X/Open System Interface) 
heading.  Basically, it is an extension of ISO C99, and *could* not be 
present.  However, blackbox requires it now.  If your system doesn't 
implement iconv natively, you'll need an external library for it.
