Summary: auto raise with popup menus

Initial Comment:
as previously seen on the mailing list...

is it possible to make a window NOT auto raise over a
popup it creates,
e.g. a drop down menu? so often the window raises over
it so not only can i not see it anymore, but it's still
"popped" so i have to blindly try to
close it and then re-open it and beat the clock to
choose the right option. sloppy focus and auto raise is
so handy for me, unless i have to
do things like that, and then it gets really really
frustrating.

BUT i'd be sceptical as to wether you can actually do
anything about it, as it seems somewhat detached from
your actual work area. then again i've never messed
with window manager code...

i've put up a presumably rather redundant screenshot,
in this case using xchat, but this happens in most
applications, qt, gtk etc... also is my blackboxrc file.

thanks

Chris Phillips
