I don't see any dark-brown window frame in the bb pictures. All I see is
the regular Blackbox outline.

As far as OO colors are concerned, I've noticed that KDE has an option in
Control Panel, "apply colors to non-KDE apps" which knows how to apply the
KDE pallete to all kinds of other apps, including Athena (native X apps,
such as xcalc) and apparently OO.
