You're suggesting it's the programs that are partially responsible, or is
blackbox just quitely encouraging bad behaviour. So far I've sen this with
firefox and emacs

I'll probably need some helpful pointers (as far as the X* stuff is
concerned), but I'm happy to devote some time to this!
