Dave,
The blackbox page lists 0.51.3.1 as the lastest stable version, there is
also the -alpha releases of 0.60. In these alpha releases, changes have
been made to the style files that make older styles incompatible. This
explains the screen anomlies that you are reporting.
I reccomend that you check out http://blackbox.alug.org/alpha.html and
give it a try, as it is quite stable. Be aware of the caveats, however,
about kde integration and key bindings.
