1 - ClickToFocus only works on the titlebar, not the rest of the window.
I've seen discussion of this. I am under the impression that
- This is always the case in 0.51.x
- This is selectable in 0.6, or perhaps the default. Some say the num
lock toggles it, some one else disgreed.
My question is this: What is it supposed to do? Is the developer on the
list btw?
I think the average user wants clicks on the window to give focus, and
this should be the default. I don't know how many people don't want
this to happen.
I think some users want the click to also raise, while others (me!)
don't.
I think some users want the focusing click to go through to the
application, while others don't.
I'm not sure if all these should be supported by blackbox, but it would be
nice. Certainly support of content clicking to give focus without
requiring numlock would be a big step forward.
2 - Control of undecorated windows.
Undecorated windows (eg. freeamp) are difficult to control in general.
I'm not sure how I feel about them yet. However, I think there should
be some way of applying window management functionality to such
windows.
KWM, for example, allows one to press something such as alt-F3 when
the mouse is over (clicked on?) the window. This pops up the BB
equivalent of the title-bar menu, which of course is not accessable
when there is no title bar.
One possibility might be a certain special action in the workspaces
menu. For example control clicking the name of the app might bring up
the menu.
Anyway, slam me if I'm being stupid. I've only been using BB about 3 days
now. I do enjoy the light memory footprint and straightforward controls
though.
