Thanks you were right I installed libstdc++2.10-dev actually a newer
version and toolbox
compiled.  Now though I have a new problem when I go to run toolbox I
get a shared library error:

toolbox:error in loading shared libraries: toolbox: undefined symbol:
new_metaobject__11QMetaObjectPCcT1P9QMetaDataiT3iP13QMetaPropertyiP9QMetaEnumiP10QClassInfoi.

I hope I am not bugging you with all this but I would appreciate any
help...
