Linux Distribution:     Slackware 7 (Nearly updated to current)
gcc/egcs version:       gcc 2.95.2
glibc version:          glibc 2.1.3 
libstdc++ version:      libstdc++-3-libc6.1-2-2.10.0.so
does bsetroot segfault: Unfortunately yes. 

 
    There you go.  Good luck finding this crazy bug.  I've looked, as I
know just about everyone else has, and I don't see a thing.  By the way,
thanks for taking up help with Blackbox.
