HELP: Creating a Slit TaskList Application...

I'm interested in making a vertical tasklist application to go in the slit
(as opposed to the Windows98 horizontal tasklist).

I was wondering if anyone here could help me get started writing the code
to interface with blackbox so I can: a) figure out what Workspace I'm
currently in, b) which apps are running on it, and c) get a list of
iconized programs.

Combine this thing (bbtasklist?) with bbpager, and you've got yourself a
phat desktop!  :)

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
