I really use the toolbar to see which workspace i am in and to see the
time. This simple toolbar stands for bb's minimalisticy :-)

I must say that I really liked the 0.51.3 toolbar: When it was on top, it
stayed on top, e.g. a raised window would not cover the toolbar. But when
I middleclicked the toolbar i was able to lower it as well.

..thought better than it is now... just always on top, or just behaving as
an ordinary window.

Perhaps this feature back and an autohide option is nice but I think i
wouldn't use it very much.
