This may not be the most convenient way to do it, but you could minimize
XMMS to an "icon", then go to the workspace you want, pop up your icons
list and open XMMS there.  It will now be a member of that workspace.

I like checking my workspace/icons list just to see what track is playing
without having to go find it...
