There are no icons, instead the window "just disappears".
To get it back, try the menu accessible from the middle
mouse button.

Your slit won't be visible until you put an application in
it. The slit is similar to the "dock" in window manager.
Are you running bbkeys? Try "bbkeys -w". There's your
slit!
