The same way you would using any other window manager. I'd recommend
that you ditch gnome-terminal, though, and use aterm instead. If you
love your resources enough to run blackbox, you surely love them enough
to use a terminal emulator that takes less than 50% of your system
resources. Have a look at http://aterm.sourceforge.net/ or your
distributions' package list.
