X11 4.0

Hello,       I have just tried to compile blackbox 0.61 for X1 4.0 and miserably failed. First I had to point its nose to the libs and include files to get past the configure script. But thats no big deal. It actually failed on compile and reported that files X11/Xlib.h X11/Xatom.h X11/util.h X11/Xcursorfonts.h where not found. I did a find and sure enough they were not there. The odd things is that the blackbox .50 that i had compiled for X11 3.3 is working just fine.   Am I missing something really obvious, did somebody have success w/ blackbox .61 on X 4.0 ?
