*cough* So, like there's this new version of Blackbox.
And, it's, like, stable. Or at least that's what I'm claiming.
So fire up that net connection and stop by any of the following
fine establishments to find out how the new Blackbox can change
your life :

On a vaguely more useful note, if you're one of those folks still
using 0.5x, there are a number of incompatible changes in the new
stable that you should be aware of. In particular,
- the style file format has changed...
If you try using an old style with the new blackbox, you'll
get a colorful variety of graphical garbage for some of the
window decorations.
- Blackbox 0.6x no longer handles keyboard shortcuts...
If you want 'em (and most people will), you'll need to get
bbkeys. Both sites listed above carry links to where you
can download it.
- there are a number of new menu options...
The most notable of which is [config] -- this provides you
with a family of submenus which let you configure the bulk
of Blackbox's resources (ie the ones in .blackboxrc) on the
fly. The slit and toolbar also come with menus (right click)
which let you configure their position and other options.
On the other hand, if you've been following the 0.6x series, this
latest release doesn't offer any new features. It does, however,
sport a number of bug fixes and a few speed-ups.
Enjoy,
Jeff Raven
