This is really wierd. Distribution = Redhat 6.2, without blackbox.
I had Xfree86 3.3.6 up and running fine. I got a dual head Matrox G400
(VERY cool by the way) so I needed X4.01. I thought I'd be cute and
totally uninstall 3.3.6 first, which I did (I removed 10s of rpms). I
installed 4.01, got it working with twm, then downloaded and installed
blackbox 0.61.1. Worked great, but needed a pager!

I downloaded bbpager 0.2.9. Unzipped it. ./Configure[d] it, and got:

checking for X... no
checking for XOpenDisplay in -lX11... no
configure: error: XOpenDisplay not found in -lX11

This, is while I was USING blackbox as my wm. I've gotten bbpager and
blackbox working well on a laptop w/ X4.01.

Then I tried downloading blackbox 0.61.1 again, just to see if it would
configure, and, nope! Here's what I get:

checking for t_open in -lnsl... no
checking for socket in -lsocket... no
checking for X... no
configure: error: Blackbox requires the X Window System libraries and
headers.

Again, this is while I'm using blackbox.

Any idea as to what's going on?
