Blackbox doesn't put up icons.

(The New) Blackbox does handle keys. Use another application like bbkeys
which works with blackbox. (This is documented. If a link to bbkeys isn't
available where you downloaded blackbox, maybe you should complain.)

I've never used blackbox with CDE; I thought CDE was its on window
manager; but I guess it is a display manager/environment and you can use
different window managers. Does CDE handles keys and have icon support
without a window manager?
