did you try a cd, ls -a. (I hope this is not an insult, but I don't
know your knowledge level, and just wanted to eliminate a simple sol'n.)
I doubt you don't have these files, unless you are using a manager such
as gdm, which can make things a little more difficult.
It sounds to me like some program in your .xinitrc or .xsession (which
is started before bb) is crashing.
How did you install bb? Did you compile from scratch? RPM? Or just
binary install? The first too should look after all dependancies (I
thik, I am not familiar w/ RH rpms). If you just installed binaries or
even if bb was pre-installed, there is a good chance of broken
dependancies, try compiling the src yourself. It is nice to have your
wm optimized for your system anyway.
Maybe I can help you more when you look into these suggestions.
