I don't know if anyone has posted about this before, but I have been
playing around with my .blackboxrc and found a neat way of
making bb even MORE minimalist. For those of you who don't really
use the toolbox keys to cycle through open windows, here is what you can
do in .blackboxrc:

session.screen0.toolbar.placement: Bottomleft
session.screen0.strftimeFormat: %I:%M
session.screen0.toolbarWidthPercent: 10

Changing these values will give you a very short toolbar on the left side
of your screen with just enough room to show the desktop name, the
desktop cycle arrows, and the time. If you enable the toolbar as 'always
on top' you can maximize any window you work with and still have a small
band of root window at the bottom to call up the menu.

If you set the toolbarWidthPercent: 1 then you practically remove the
toolbar altogether...
