This also has happened to me several times by using old styles with new
blackbox.
In addition, I have had similar problems with different window managers
under X11 (XFree86 Version 3.3.6) with Rage 128 GL Video using XF86_SVGA
(I think). (If I remember correctly, the XFree86 4.x fixes the problem for
this card.)
