Solaris / IE5 problem

I'm running blackbox-0.61.1 in Solaris 8 and am having problems with IE5.  When I 
either 
change desktops in bbpager or if I shade the IE window, IE inconifies.  Any idea as to
why this would happen?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
