I'm no guru, and certainly not a Debian guru, but it appears from the debian/rules
file that there are no flags enforced on this package of Blackbox (0.51.3), and I'm
inclined to believe that when shaleh took the package over (since 0.6something), he
left that alone. It appears that the binary size difference you see could only be
attributed to different gcc or xlib linking. Hell if I know.

I doubt there's much difference, at least with the part we're concerned with.
