I believe that would be a useful feature. I also find it hard to find a
window hidden behind 25 other windows (especially since the PrevWindow and
NextWindow work differently than I like). And using the Toolbar's buttons
to change windows is too slow to to look through 25+ windows.
A list of non-iconized windows is already available via the "Workspaces
..." menu(s). For example: middle click on root window and then highlight
"Workspace 1"; then you'll see a list of all windows that are not
iconized.
I believe it would be a good feature to add an "All Windows" (including
iconized) menu to the Workspaces' menu. (Or change the current code to
simply add the iconified windows also.)
In addition, this functionality could be also added as a third Toolbar
button that pops up a list of all the windows (iconized or not).
Does anyone have a patch for this "All Windows" menu? If not, I may code
it ... but I'll have to wait a few weeks to get some free time :)
Any suggestions? Advice?
