Brad, Jeff,

well, I've got this message.
I'd be very happy to get ANY feedback from you regarding this bug.
I really like bb, cannot live without it, but this bug makes me
disappointed.
So please drop me a mail.

Thx.

P.s.:
The workaround mentioned in this message doesn't really help me due to
several configuration issues.

AFAIK this IS a Blackbox bug. If you log your startx (or
~/.xsession-errors) you 'll find something like Signal 11 caught,
shutting
down... from Blackbox.

This is the workaround I currently use (because Just Today, after months
and months without problems, I had a crash):

replace in your .xinitrc (or .xsession) the line

   exec blackbox

with:

   until blackbox; do :; done

This will restart blackbox if it exited with an error (so that the xinit
script does not stop) but nicely logout when blackbox terminates
normally.

I have the impression that this bug occurs when you try to change
workspaces very quickly with an assigned bbkeys key, without waiting for
all windows to redraw. On my today's crash I had running:

rox,nedit,xmms,mozilla,several rxvts.

It looks like slow redrawing apps like netscape or mozilla are dangerous
when changing workspaces very quickly.

greetings,
