because someone, somewhere has the 'blackbox' name registered on sf. Oh well (-: As for the homepage, work is underway, I have a few people from irc working on it. And yes, the website will reflect the sensibilities of the bb user: minimal, fast, clean, usable, etc. Honestly blackbox.alug.org has been a good home to us we just needed to do something new after 3+ years.
