I know that the option to enable both of them contradicts one another (as far as I can tell), but nevertheless, is it possible? here's what I'm thinking:
you have multiple overlapping xterms. if you just want to type in one, that's being partially covered by another, you just move your mouse over to it...if however, you want to raise it, instead of clicking on the border, you just click anywhere...
