This is clearly a low-priority item, but does anyone else run into the
following?

If I open the Blackbox menu near the right edge of the screen a submenu
will open to the left if there's no room for it to open to the right.
But if a sub-sub menu has room, it will switch back to the right and
open on top of its grandparent. It's fairly easy to get menus going back
& forth more than once, and I end up 'slipping off' the menu I want to
be on onto another menu beneath it.

A modest proposal: Have a submenu default to open in the direction its
parent was opened in, and only switch directions if it bumps the edge of
the workspace. (The main menu & torn-off submenus would always count has
having been opened to the right.) ...of course, this would conflict
philosophically with the code that toggles a submenu from left right as
you drag it's parent towards/away from the right workspace edge...

I run into this a lot because I keep the slit vertically aligned on the
right edge of my screen so there's usually a blank patch of desktop
underneath it, perfect for clicking to bring up the menu.

Thanks for listening,

Paul
