I think Shaleh will get back to you on this one. Something along the lines of "iconifying is supposed to mean _this_, if you want 'minimizing' use shading instead". But many people react like Martin here. I had an idea: how about a patch/rc option/whatever that would "stack" or "park" windows together near one of the screen edges the moment they are shaded? We've seen window edge snapping work. It wouldn't be minimizing, nor would it be iconifying, if would just be an extra hand for people using shading. It would be even nicer if shaded+parked/stacked windows would remember their coordinates and size and return to them when they are unshaded. Ciprian Popovici
