sticky windows in blackbox is a hack right now. Basically when you mark a window sticky it does not get unmapped when you changed workspaces. That is all that changes. This is not how we want it to work and we do have some ideas on how to implement it properly. It is just not a high priority. It will also require changes in many places and we are trying to prep for a new release.
