So here is one way to track down the Java bug. Disable almost all of BlackboxWindow::BlackboxWindow(). Slowly enable line by line until the bug occurs. At least then we know where and can learn why.
Also, I have heard the 0.62 does not demonstrate this problem but I have also heard that it is affected. If we could test this better another possibility is to attempt to port 0.62's constructor over and see if it helps.
