Try this: quit QS, move QS's application support folder to the desktop, and restart QS. This will reset QS to the default. If the crashing stops, then the problem was probably a messed up setting in there someplace, and you may as well trash the folder you just moved to the desktop. You will need to recreate all your settings, however.
