This didn't work for me.  Ever since I upgraded to Leopard, the option
of not having QS remain in the dock has not worked.  If I go to
Preferences, the "Show Icon In Dock" is NOT checked.  When I followed
your instructions, m,y info.plist file already had read & write
privileges designated to my system name.  Any ideas?
