What more than deleting that file did you do to get rid of the fan
problem?

I don't have that file (since i've never really been able to use QS
due to the noisy fan) so that won't solve my problem.

I'm trying to do everything Howard recommends, but it won't seem to
work...

I have a black MacBook from nov 2007, 2,2ghz c2d, 4gb ram, 250gb
hdd...
