it works great for me most of the time and i have to say that this is among my top ten favorite functions of quicksilver and also a major reason i use delicious (apart from the persistence of online bookmark services). i luckily have very little of this problem but do find that once in a while i have to force a rescan but 95% of the time it seems to work beautifully.
i am interested, however, in making sure that this feature is as robust as possible and one of the major reasons i would avoid experimenting with new versions of QS. would love to hear others' thoughts on it.
