I don't think it would be a good idea to replace the basic module
yet.  This version might not work on Tiger yet.

I just made a new version which I'm fairly sure will run under Tiger,
but not positive.  It can be obtained at either of these locations:

Also, what do you mean by "autocomplete selections of already existing
tags"?  Not sure I understand.
