So I played around with this a bit, managed to reproduce the problem,
and I think I have a potential fix. Open Triggers.plist (inside ~/
Library/Quicksilver) with TextEdit, and find the section that looks
like this:
This does not seem to work. I've deleted it. That of course
deactivated my "command window with selection" trigger. I tried to
invoke and bring up the text with Apple-G or with the "current
selection" object and it seems that the selection is still empty.
Apple-Escape doesn't even bring up the window (I've deactivated Front
Row).
I've not tried re-binding the trigger, but since I would end up with
the same Triggers.plist file, I doubt this will have any effect.
What app are you selecting text in? It will only work in cocoa apps,
not Firefox or MS Office.
