Absolutely. There are are actually a number of different ways to do
this, depending on how you want to do it.

You could:
1. Bring up a contact or email address in the first pane, and choose
Compose Email in the second pane

2. Put text in the first pane, choose Email To...(Compose) in the
second pane, and a contact or email address in the third pane. This
will open new a email message addressed to the contact and with the
entered text already in place.

3. Put text in the first pane, choose Email To...(Send) in the second
pane, and a contact or email address in the third pane. This will
tell your email app to send an email message to the contact with the
entered text as the message, without bothering you with a new message
window.

4. Put text in the first pane, choose Email To...(Send Directly) in
the second pane, and a contact or email address in the third pane.
Quicksilver itself will send an email message to the contact with the
entered text as the message, without running the email through your
normal email app.

For all of 2, 3, and 4, you can enter the subject line, enter >>, and
then enter the body text of the message. If you don't want to bother
typing >>, the text you enter will be used for both the subject and
the body of the message.

Howard Melman has written a wonderful user guide for Quicksilver, that
includes instructions on this and all sorts of other things. You can
