Hmmm, I just tried and downloading worked fine for me. I tried both

http://www.blacktree.com/
http://www.getqs.com/

In both cases I got a QS.3815.dmg that converted to a Quicksilver.app in my Downloads folder. I used Safari 3.1.2 on 10.5.4.

What browser and version are you using? Can you try another browser?

The "QS-1" in the filename you give tells me there's probably another download already in that folder and it had to be renamed. Remove them and try again.

As the FAQ now says, we've seen reports of QS.3815.dmg.bz being downloaded but not QS.3815.dmg.bz.cpgz. Both .bz and .cpgz are extensions that indicate a compression package was used. In the reported cases the .bz extension was mistakenly included when the file wasn't compressed using bzip, so OS X tried to uncompress it but failed. That's why renaming worked. .cpgz is a compressed cpio archive thats gziped. If you are familiar with these tools you can try uncompressing them manually to see it works.

Thanks for the response. With the file ending in .dmg, when I try to
mount the disc, I get a message that there are "no mountable file
systems".
Thanks again,

When I try to download any plugins for Quicksilver, the computer

I've followed the advice in the FAQ and confirmed that I'm the
administrator. Anyone know what's going wrong?

I've updated the FAQ to include this.

The URL changed, use B54 3815 to download plugins and do upgrades.

Also, I have version B51. When I try to upgrade to the latest version,
I end up with a file called QS-1.3815.dmg.bz.cpgz that I can't do
anything with. It won't open, or launch a disc image. Any ideas?

This is also in the FAQ, rename the file to end in .dmg and see if it
mounts.
