I would like to know if something shows up in Console.app when you click the Triggers prefpane *the very first time* after you've launched QS. It should show up a line under "All Messages".

For the record: the Triggers preference pane displays this behavior when there's an exception raised while loading the Triggers.plist file (usually because you disabled a trigger-related plugin, like Abracadabra or the one that allow screen-corner triggers). I tried to make it keep triggers as "unknown" if their corresponding plugin was disabled, but it's only available in the ß56 series.
