Compress files

i read this:
As of B51 it only works if called
with a single file in the first pane. Executing the Compress Using…  
action in the zip format
when using the comma trick or dragging multiple files into the first  
pane will result in an error
and a ding sound.
i found:
Even Compress (Create archive) does not work with multiple files. (B54)

can someone confirm?
