That's right, Witch does window-Switching over more than one app and you can bring up hidden windows by switching to them. As much as I love mac os, in this part it totally sucks!
However, meanwhile I found why witch needs ten seconds to appear and switch, it is because of the last.fm app. Witch asks for the window status or something and last.fm needs long to answer.
