QS β56 (3823) not launching on hotkey

I recently updated to the latest version, and my hotkey (ctrl-space)
stopped working. I rolled back to the version before it, and again it
didn't work. I then uninstalled QS and all preferences, and the hotkey
still isn't working. What is going on? :( I'm on 10.5.6.
