I installed the plug-in but it doesn't appear to be doing anything. I
was hoping I could type a contact name and see it with an option to
email. No luck. Is that how it is supposed to function?

Have you tried the existing Entourage 2004 plugin and found it
didn't work with 2008? I have neither so I don't know.
